Missing Anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan Safely Recovered After Five Months

 Sialkot, 25th September 2023 - In a significant turn of events, anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan, who had been missing for nearly five months, was successfully recovered and reunited with his family on Monday, according to the Sialkot police. This development follows a series of events that began with Imran Riaz Khan's arrest on May 11 at Sialkot Airport under the 3MPO, amidst nationwide protests that erupted on May 9.

In a social media post, the Sialkot police announced, "Journalist/anchor Mr. Imran Riaz Khan has been safely recovered. He is now with his family."

Their ordeal began when the Lahore High Court (LHC) granted the Inspector General of Punjab a 13-day window to recover the missing anchorperson, following a petition filed by his father pleading for his son's safe return.

During the court proceedings, IG Punjab Usman Anwar reported positive progress in the efforts to locate and recover Imran Riaz Khan. He requested additional time from the court, promising to deliver good news within the next 10 to 15 days.
